 Sheilds for PD
I am intersted in putting some sort of sheilds on my motor to protect it from buckbrush and vines. Has anyone seen any good ideas? Id like to see some pics.

 Re: Sheilds for PD
Spent 4 hours running buck brush and timber yesterday. This thing has worked great for the tangles I get into. Here is one for my carb/filter. Made from a 12x18 piece of 16ga sheetmetal from Lowes. Overall size was perfect so I didn't have to cut it down any. Only cuts were to get the shape I wanted. You can bend 16ga easy enough over the edge of your trailer. Cleaned, primed and painted with bed liner.

 Re: Sheilds for PD
Wanted to move my Tach so I don't have to turn my body around to see it when running. Came up with this after trying to figure out where I could remount it. Since I have broke at least 3 keys in the last year from vines and limbs snagging the key I decided a mounting bracket for the Tach and shield for the key combo would work just fine. Still got to clean it up and get it coated with bed liner but your get the idea. You might also want to put a zip tie through your dipstick. Almost lost mine a few times before I got around to it myself.
PS: get extra keys made and keep a couple handy. You will need one before to long run the stuff you posted. A small pair of forcips to get broke key out is nice too.
