Post need help with motor pulley
im converting my mud buddy hyper into a tall trans motor and need to get the pully off the motor shaft im not shure if thats the proper name or not but it's the thing that turns the belt on the motor shaft an it's direct drive no clutch. how exaclty do you get those off it has two allen screws in there with one empty hole. how do you go about removing im guessing its a compression coupling idk any help would be appreciated !

This is for the lower gear but its similar and should help you.

Gear puller usually works well after the gear is separated from the taper lock.

If the taper lock is stuck on the shaft you can put a small wooden wedge (like the ones you use to level a door/window) in the end of the slot on the taper lock. Tap it lightly to expand the lock slightly so it will come off. Be careful if you do this, too much and you will split the taper lock.
