Honda gx270 governor spring tighten

 Honda gx270 governor spring tighten I have recently purchased some mods for my boat to get a little more hp. This is my first long tail and attempt to mod my engine. I do not want to remove the governor because I was some protection for the engine. I have read that I can I tighten the governor to get some extra rpm. Can someone please can explain which and how to tighten the governor spring?

Re: Honda gx270 governor spring tighten put a tie wrap on the spring to tighten the loops, and make the spring pull harder on the gov.
Or get a stiffer spring.

Re: Honda gx270 governor spring tighten I already took the spring off, and made the bend a little sooner.
Make sure not to bend it to much to make it shorter, because it will cause you motor to idle higher.
