Post Stock Gtr 37 rpm
Hey dudes.

I have a 37 on a 17x54 extreme and at WOT I'm getting 3900 rpm running right at 25.5 MPH. It has the three blade on it I think it's the 10.5 its stamped 49 on the prop. I have 12 gals of fuel and a trolling motor setup everything is up front. Does this seem right to you? I put the spare prop on today which is brand new no change.Only other thing I can think is the throttle cable stretched I just don't want to play with it until I know that I should be getting more rpm. Any suggestions or info would be awesome. The boat ran 30 when it was brand new I just hit 28 hrs today.

Thanks

I don't think the throttle cable stretched :|

Sounds like you should take it in to a shop and tell them your problems, it'll be under warranty if anything is wrong.

I am thinking your valves are leaking but take it in for sure something is wrong.

I have the stock GTR 37 as well. It runs about the same rpms. I was wondering if it was normal as well. Check out this on backwaterperformance. It says they stock motors run those rpms normally.

I have one at my shop now on a 1854 3/16" bottom. Not a light boat to say the least. It turns 4230 at roughly 28.5 MPH deep water with the 10.5" prop.

CHECK ALL FUEL connections, these EFI's are VERY sensitive to air leaks in the fuel system. Think about a cut in a straw.

I'm assuming you can reach 4700 and hear the rev limit with 0 load on the engine?

Yeah I can hit the Rev limiter at 4750. I am also running it fully trimmed up. I'll check the connections on the fuel lines real good again. I've been watching the filters on it when running and I haven't seen any air bubbles so I'm guessing eveything is probably fine but it won't hurt to check again.

Thank you all
