There is a mild squeak near the belt in the gear box in my gator tail while idle. Not sure if its the belt or the discs that are in there. The squeaking gets louder when I put in forward. The service mechanic said the belt was good when I had it serviced this past winter. Any suggestions on how to determine the problem? Can I spray oil on the parts in there?

Planning on using boat this weekend. Can that cause a more serious problem? Is there a way to oil that?

Yep. Nope. Those bearings are sealed.

I've had them squeak for long periods of time without failure. Don't let that stop you from using your rig. If it gets worse a new clutch is about $250 for everything.
