Gtr mods - well that's enough internet for the day
Doin a little reading here and there and next thing you know....
Wasn't planning on going that far, but while I'm in here lol....if I did pistons and rods, is it a good idea to leave stock pushrods? I believe I read somewhere, where they said it was a good idea to leave them, so they are the weak link.
Btw I have a Pvt 308 cam, should I go for it, or is there bigger and better things? Thanks for any helpful info and opinions.

I was told the same by a few of the engine experts when I built my engine. Made sense to me. Pretty damn easy to change a bent push rod as compared to breaking the bridge where to rockers attach which I've seen several broken on here.

Oh yea that suckers comin out soon. I'm Thinking about putting a stainless bolt up through, and then lock washer and nut/jam-nut on the top. With loctite.
Makes sense on the push rods. I'll just leave em stock I guess. Are the rods and Pistons worth changing? They are crazy expensive.

Might just go with that too, CB. Prolly easier to cut and roll with it.
Doing heads, cam, carb, and stock gutted, all at one time. Think I'll leave the rest alone for now. Hope it turns out good.

If you change pistons you will need to have your block honed.

Cut the flipper... a bolt and jamb not is just something else that has potential to vibrate loose and cause problems.

The bolt and jam nut is a acceptable mod. Two of the premier engine builders on this site say it is ok. Just make sure u use a lock nut gall the threads use loc tite and plenty of silicone. Works greattttttttt.
