 Thanks MMT...
Drove a couple hours to look at some teal (hopefully) Sunday and motor (36PD) wouldn't start. I did all I could at the ramp and finally threw in the towel. I had just ran the boat 2 weeks prior so I was confused.
I did a search here and someone recommended if you thought your fuel pump had laid down to just bypass it and go direct to carb and use the bulb as your pump. I did and it was hard as a dang rock. Told me my fuel pump was good and had something blocking in the carb. Took the carb off and a buddy tore it down cleaned and wiped everything. Replaced fuel filter and lines and thing runs like a sewing machine again.
Thanks to the pump bypass idea I didn't spend much time messing with or replacing the pump. Sure was frustrating Sunday sitting at the ramp.
