 Pushrod weight
This is the second motor ive seen recently with these heavy pushrods. They are strong no doubt but both these engines had valvetrain failures and this one had the valves hit the piston and killed it in a bad way. Imo i wouldnt run these without welded heads and real stout springs. Anyone have experience with these pushrods?

 Re: Pushrod weight
I typically see the HD pushrods with roller rockers. And Yes I agree if you running roller rockers and HD pushrods, YOU better have the heads welded.. It is a matter of time.

 Re: Pushrod weight
The bps hd pushrods are much lighter although the tips like to beat themselves out of the aluminum somtimes. Anyone know where these steel ones are available from?

Not trying to be ridiculed here but, what is a welded head and is there any pics of the process?

 Re: Pushrod weight
Has anyone ever contacted another valvetrain parts company to give them info about our application and see what they could do for us? There's a lot of them out there. I've have real good luck with Brian Tooley parts in other stuff.
