What all are you guys doing to get the rpms up on the small blocks and how high are you getting?

modded. I was just curious how high people were going

5k plus when the right parts are installed.

that's about where I wanna be

rev limiter 4700. Can almost turn 5K with a moderate load when rev limiter is unplugged. Motor is modded. I try not to run over 4300, trying not to blow up this motor. Over 400 hrs on modded motor.

I like to cruise around the 4600 mark. Heavy load around 42-4300.

on my 23 can I get there with stock carb, manley valves, shimmed springs, high rev valve stems, thin head gaskets and timing key? Or do I need a cam some other stuff? and more $$$

Rods, pistons, carb, thin head Gaskets, Repair the factory heads from crushing, cam, and adjust timing if needed. It will be a hot rod mamma jama!

ive got modded heads, mikuni carb, cam but im not done im going to go back into it and do crank,rods,and pistons end of summer just cant figure out if I want to do 2o or 30 over pistons yet,
