I have a small bass boat with 50hp outboard today and have been thinking about a change to mud style boat. What type of maintenance is required annually compared to an outboard on these motors?

I am a one weekend a month type boater and don't run em too hard generally. I am not much of a mechanic but do the oil changes on our cars and minor stuff like that so I am not afraid to do a small bit of wrench turning.
