Post New motor compression test
Hey guys. I'm meeting up with a seller this week. Buying a 1748 x series with all stock 36 hp prodrive on the back.
Looking to run a compression test on it. I've done a few before but never on the 36 Briggs. Just making sure I have the right tools here at lsu with me. Will I be able to get away with a 5/8 or 13/16 wrench or is there not enough room for that? If not, I'll need to go buy some deep sockets. Thanks for any input guys. Also, what psi should the gauge be reading for these motors stock? I'd imagine around 120-140.

Thin wall deep socket or you may have to pull the heat shields to get to the plugs. Don't remember the size for the champion plugs. It's different than the autolites I run. Make sure you hold the throttle wide open while turning the motor over.

5/8 socket, remove plugs, run test with throttle WIDE OPEN. kill switch pulled so there is 0 spark
