can you use stock rods with the evt pistons (standard bore flat tops)

As long as the wrist pin diameter is the same. Get with mike or silk to verify.

Are you shaving the stock pistons or purchasing an aftermarket flat top? If shaving the stockers, I believe you'll want the longer rods.
If your going through all that work, why not go big bore? I have a feeling craig could steer you in the right direction if you want to go that route. I think you'd want to go back to stock heads though.

You will be over 200 psi on compression with those pistons. Deck height was raised with those pistons along with removing the dish. Fastest motor I built had those pistons with .030" decked heads. 1854 GTB ran 40.6 mph.

Look at a race car motor. They make bIG power, but they either blow em up once in a while or tear em down after a few races and then fix stuff before it blows. Regardless its alot of coin to play with.

What are you looking to do? Carry more weight or go fast? You want more speed then build a boat and prop for the motor you have.
