 Re: Mikuni running good, until 2/3 throttle + I would start with checking all your intake gaskets, leaking gaskets can cause the motor to lean out and burn up a piston.

Re: Mikuni running good, until 2/3 throttle + Spark plug. bbb stated he had idled for a long time and they were really black, too much carbon build up from a rich idle must have fouled one or it could have had a small crack in the ceramic part of the plug, either way, a $4 fix.
