 Re: Double Barrel Exhaust
Crews I think you will be pleased with the fit and finish. Not polished and shiney but the welds are well laid down. Can't speak for Hopkins havn't seen one in person. I do have this one and can't wait to get it on.

 Re: Double Barrel Exhaust
I am unsure if it will work on a GTR because of clearance with the clutch cover. It will bolt to your motor I know that for sure. If you take a picture of the clutch cover facing the back of your motor I will do some measuring.

 Re: Double Barrel Exhaust
Well got my stage 1 hooked up and installed the Exhaust this evening. Big day. Fired up the motor and the Exhaust sounds great, deeper throatier sound at idle and at rev. When buckling up the exhaust unit mounting bracket make sure you just start the mounting bolts with fingers without snugging to the block. You will need the slack to tweak the mount to the block when the Barrels are mounted to the Bracket. Very nice look and sound. I like the distance from the Mikuni intake to the top barrel. Also, like that the total exhaust unit does not extend to tall. On acceleration the volume stays deep and throaty no whine, no excessive increase in volume. Will run boat tomorrow.

 Re: Double Barrel Exhaust
What I like is the compact look of the unit. It handles the exhaust output of the motor very well. No High pitch sounds. Just throaty low sounds. No backfires either. Even adds to the top line of the mikuni. I used a modded intake I bought from Deadbird8 to mount the Mikuni. He did a great job on it. I believe the new Exhaust will have more fit and finish to them than this one, but I am please with the one I just mounted. Glider say's he is working on a quieter version. WOW
