Just for info they are offering the H and V complete drive without motor for 4600. Drop your current motor right on and save a couple grand on stock and few grand on modded motor versions.

That dont make since that they would sell everything without motor for $4600. In the link on the first page of the post you can get the 23H for $4500, 25WMA $4700, and 27H for $5400....Seems a little steep for just the housing. Unless the housing are different for the smaller blocks.

I'm still running a longtail and I have my stout reverse push pole- true, I can only engage that at low idle with the prop out of water or no idle, but there are no gears or belt to break excepting I may get a hernia or bust my pants belt. I'm also favoring the H-horizontal drive motor model; I like the muffler on top where I can make the most noise. I currently drive a 27 horse LT disguised as a 25 so if and when the green government people slap on the 25 restriction I will still slip through. Right now with the current water level all the horses in the world won't get you through the marsh and the airboats need to be careful too.

Saying the MB reverse is reliable because it is similar to an outboard reverse is retarded.
An outboard needs reverse to get off the trailer and go around the dock, not come out of a slough that dead ended or come off of a mat of grass.

As much as I hate to say it, I like a GTR reverse better than this. If you hit a stump in reverse it won't have very much give atleast with a PD it deflects it with the pitch of the prop.

I think a lot of people r gonna b makin the switch, some people will stay true, and they have their reasons but for the most part this may put mb on top. I look into the future and I see a new generation of mmt, one where ur bashed violently by the new mb youth if not running a mb lol

The new MB looks like a nice concept, I just don't think the casted parts will hold up near as well as machined parts. But, the main issue with this motor is the company itself. What few dealings I've had with MB have not been good. All I can say is they are damn liars on the phone! Good customer service goes a long way in this business. Just read how many times GT, PD, and GD has gone thru hoops to take care of a customer. Read how many issues people have had with MB. Attn MB; Being truthful would be a good start to good customer service...

Everybody gets what suits them & believe it or not what is sold in close proximity to them. I bought what I could get worked on w/out having to haul 6 - 7 hours for service. That really hasn't been an issue since my motor has been very reliable. I really like Yamaha outboards. Don't know the owners & don't give a fat rats ass if they are good people or not. I may buy a GT in the future but it won't be because of the bashing of MB or G. F.
