I know alot of ya'lls put some abuse to ya'lls equipment .... but the terain I run 99.99 percent of the time is just plain unheard of !!!!! Fo-Example ~ Mines area's that I run has just 'bout a 50/50 ratio of water and stobbs !!!!!

I would think any of the major brands (BPS, EVT, or MM) would work real good for ya. From what I've seen, they're all comparable and it comes down to personal preferance.

What he said. We have a bps on one motor and an evt on the other. Both seem very well built.

I had an aftermarket exhaust on my briggs and it cracked several times in different places. I have seen stock, bps and evt crack. I do not know anyone running a hopkins and I have one friend that has a few hours on a marshmellow with no problems.

IMO if you run them enough they all will break, and that includes the exhaust.

Post subject:  Re: Exhaust ....

Only thing that has failed on my MM was the metal straps that hold it down I figured the vibration just wears them out coupled with the saltwater... (heck it's not even part of the setup just a way of attaching it, $1.00 at Home Depot. I've lost two but still have two so figured I'm still good

I got a Hopkins Hog on my 32 pd. Have put close to 125 hrs on it and I dont baby my motor at all. It gets banged against trees, beaver dams, veggies, mud and my 4 year old has a tendency to hit every thing with his bat. This motor and pipe have even been under water twice and still no major problems. Just shoot with some WD and all is good. Little surfuce rust but no problems. Just my 2 cents

Post subject:  Re: Exhaust ....

As I see it, the muffler is alot of weight to hang back there. All seem to have extra bracing, and then a little more. The more it goes out and up, the more prone to crackin. I went with the duals, lo profile, and seems to mount fairly solid all the way back. But I have heard them crackin too, then fall off and sink. I don't know ifin it's an option on the GTR? probably not without some custom mounts. seems like all have or will break. Lot's of coin for a gauranteed problem on any brand. IDK if marshmellow has any problems so far or not? If and when these break, I'll probly try marshmelow

Post subject:  Re: Exhaust ....

i put the marshmellow on my 35 gtr and the flange that connects to the motor broke first time out. The guys at gator tail got me two new flanges b/c they said the one I got was an old design. The new ones are much much thicker and look to be much stronger. so far no probs, but I only have maybe 5hrs on it.
