My last opinion is maybe see if swampsnyper can crawl up in there and have a look around for ya!
Did you spin it over with out the plugs before or after you tried the magnet? or did you try the magnet first.

Pretty straight forward. Remove exhaust, cowling, carb intake and anything else in the way. Pull the valve covers and remove the push rods. Take bolts out and remove heads. |

Thanks.The reason im doing this,is because i need to check for slag particles from muffler.Anything special that im pulling or removing once head is off? Also what is considered damage once inside? |

If something fell in, it should be sitting on top the piston (hopefully) which you will be looking at when you pull the head. Might be another way of looking in without pulling the heads though. If you bottom out the piston you might be able to look in through the plug hole to see what your looking for. |

Not really other than what poker mentioned. Pull the spark plug and shine a light down in there. Rotate the crankshaft until the piston is at the top and look around. Not going to get a very good view so it may be worth your while to just pull the heads. Why do you think there is slag down in there? |

Just noticed he actually said to bottom out the piston. I was thinking you may get a better look with the piston up at the top, but maybe not... |

This might sound funny but this is what I would try before pulling the head. Run to the store and get a pair of panty hose. Remove the spark plugs, stretch the pany hose around the back the motor aligning the legs with each cylinder/ spark plud holes, ( The pany hose will act as a net to catch what evers in there) Then spin that bitch over. If it hit the plug before it has a good chance of coming out ! |

Magnet! I didn't think of that! one of those small telescoping ones ( NOTE: Don't try tying one to a string!) it'll just stick to the walls. LOL I'd try Stumps idea first! I imagine its not to big or it would seem he would have more than a bent plug. |

already tried magnet and blowing spark plug holes by turning over but nothing.I just hate to think its cleared and all of a sudden something bad happens.(nothing on magnet and did'nt feel anything on hand.) Can i just pull muffler off and pull plugs and blowout with air compressor? take a chance or pull head? |

I would think that if there was something in there hitting your spark plug hard enough to close the gap, it would be a good idea to just take the head off anyway, to make sure it didn't score the cylinder walls or damage anything. |

Okay, I see now I should have asked a single question. I think you got it myboy, but its your shit. so if your still worried then pull the head. Better safe than sorry. You might call around to your local electrician/ store. They may have one of those camera snake thingys for seeing inside the walls ( I'm sure they'd help you out). I've also seen them for sale at Sam's warehouse. Buy it , use it, then return it! lol |

If you use a magnet Tilt the motor all around while you have it in there- Side to side and trimmed all the way down. A piece stuck in the bottom is hard to get at. We tried everthing to get this little gift from a stock muffler out of this cylinder and finally just removed the head. At a minimum take off your muffler. On this motor, there was a dime sized chunk sitting on the exhaust valve. Cylinder wall wasn't bad, just reinstalled the head with new gaskets and put on a stainless muffler. I think there is a head gasket set (intake, exhaust, head, valve cover)- I know there is a double head set with one part number that is cheaper than getting them all separately. |

Pulled heads and found nothing. A little light surface scratching,but repairman said nothing to worry about. Just waiting on MM exhaust now.Thanks everyone for input. |
