Post motor issues
I have a issue ive been dealing with for awhile now and have tried several things to solve it but it has seem to become worse and is now quite aggravating. It goes as follows:

The engine cranks and idles fine, as well as runs fine, the problem is when i come off of the throttle back to idle the engine will stall out. if it dose not stall out when i come off of throttle to idle it will when i try and throttle it back up. if i try and crank it back up it will not fire. If i choke the motor it cranks back up and runs fine, until i come from wot. This use to only happen every now and then but recently it has become much more frequent. I have some mods done such as an Kn air filter, gecker exahust and carb. I have installed a new fuel fitler recently as well as tried my original air filter. The motor was doing this before i installed the gecker carb. so am not sure if it is just the carb. any suggestions will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks Byrd

Mine had that problem (with a modded stock carb and carb spacer installed) and I adjusted the idle air mix screws and it cured it. Carb was not getting enough fuel in the idle circuit.

If you have a stock carb, try to adjust the idle mix screws out (CCW) as much a possible. If you need more adjustment, just cut the limiter arms off the black caps on the idle enrichment scres on top of the carb (leave the caps on, just cut the arms off limiting adjustment range) to give you more adjustment. With a carb spacer I recommended people start at 2.5 turns out vs. the 1.5 on a stock carb (limiter arms are there for emmissions controls I guess).

Hope that helps.
