I just noticed mine has a crack next to the cylinder head flange, maybe 10 hours of run time on the muffler. Is it worth sending back or should I just weld it myself? Unless they have a better design out I'll probably just weld it and save some down time. I purchased it from Gator Tail.

More than likely they will just reweld it anyways. Give them a call, but if that's what they're going to do, just do it yourself.
