 Re: Exhaust gaskets burning up?
Do your flanges mate up flush to the heads so the gaskets make a good seal?

 Re: Exhaust gaskets burning up?
x2, sounds like your flanges are warped, or crooked. put a straight edge on them, and see if they are flat. then put it from one flange to the other and see if the straight edge is parallel to the other flange. The gaskets are really thin, so they must be really flat and straight, or will blow right out. I better add: jus sayin

 Re: Exhaust gaskets burning up?
I was sent some exhaust gaskets from BPS that had what looked like a gasket sandwiched in between aluminum. The inside gasket burnt through aon the first run. Not impressed at all by that design. Went back with my well used stockers until I get the new Briggs in that I ordered.

 Re: Exhaust gaskets burning up?
I just bought 4 gaskets today on my Lunch break from Billy's Inc. in Opelousas. $5 a pop and they were in stock. It is right off I-49 at the Judson Walsh Exit
