Post Anyone running a CC boat with a carb/intake kit?
Posting a question for a buddy again. He is running a CC rig with a modded 35GTR. When he changed to the intake and carb, the throttle cable he had didn't work with the new carb. His cable is more like a shift rod instead of a soft braided cable Iike I have on my GDSD. We were able to rig it up and make it work, but he wants to get the right cable for his setup. Can someone who is running a rig like this please post where you got the throttle cable you are using?
Thanks,
Scott

the best way to handle that is make a bracket that will hold a short piece of motorcycle cable (what you call soft braided) to stroke the mikuni and on the other end of the cable connects a loop on the end of his teleflex (the shift rod push/pull)....

Here are two pictures of what I am talking about... they are MB so forgive me for posting these... just trying to be helpful even though most on here think i am an ASS at times...

You may need to add an additional spring to the mikuni... also if he has a long enough teleflex that is fairly flexible he can build a bracket on the mikuni that will allow the teleflex to hook directly like i have on my airboat. i dont have any pictues of it right now but will dig some up... added below... all he will need is the flat plate on the side to mount the cable... that one shown as a quick connect he may have an eye with a screw through it like I have... that photo is from another airboat... the other bent plate is for the accelerator pump b/c the plastic broke...

This is the easy way out, but call GT. Hoyt will have your answer.
