Post throttle issues
having issues with the throttle on my 25 kohler...motor starts fine, and runs well...however...when you give it gas the motor coughs, bogs a little bit, and then gets through it and runs fine after that...also the throttle can get stuck and i have to rev it to free it up back to an idle...also seems like the cable needs to be adjusted as it gets to WOT before the cable is fully extended?

does the carb just need to be pulled off and cleaned? im not sure what would make the throttle stick like that though...no kinks in the cable

thanks

My 27 did the exact same thing straight outta the crate. Never did get it figured out, just learned how to work the throttle to make it roll thru it. Those cable get moisture in em and tend to stick or hang up. Best to just keep it lubed up & always expect it to hang up at WOT when ya need to back down NOW.

alright cleaned it out...now theres a new problem....

motor seems to idle rough but the throttle response is much better with little or no bog....but when you rev it out to WOT it gets up there for about a second and then coughs out and dies....

i let it warm up to see if it needed to clear out but the issue still remains

I have a similar issue and was told the high speed jet needs attention/cleaning.
