That is all the bracing. This motors intened use is layout type boats. Consider it a super heavy duty trolling or weedeater type motor. I will weigh it and post up the weight.

I don't have any long term testing, there isn't really much to the setup. It is an engine and direct drive. It will make a four rivers layout go like hell.

Looks like a motor I saw at Harbor Frieght.... You can get a 4 yr warranty there, if you blow it up, dog chews on it, ect you take it back and they give you a new one.

It is a harbor freight motor. No secret by me. It is a honda 6.5 clone. Thats why there is a kit minus engine. If you watch Harbor freight you can get those for under 100.00 sometimes.

Northern Tool has some motors like that also. The Powerhorse I think it's called. Also the LCT 6.5 looks similiar to that.
Neat design. How big of an engine would the frame and drive system accept? What prop size is on it?

got a little 13ft boat ive been buildin for over a year now and been trying to find cheap and easy motor like this. Im curious about the same info cmiller73 is askin...also does the frame include everything except engine?

Yes, the frame includes everything except to engine. Shaft lenght is 96 inches. It has a coupler that attaches to the output shaft on engine 3/4 keyed I believe. I am waiting on a price for just the coupler.

Lower end looks like a replica of the rigs they run here......
