Post subject:  shorted Positve battery wire

I need help, I was rushing to get my boat in the water for early goose season tomorrow morning and I pinched the red battery wire and did not see it till I was at the launch.
I have a prodrive 36 hp motor and now it dose nothing after I replace the battery cable.
Is there a main fuse or could it just be the battery? Did I smoke all the electrics?
Can anyone shed some light so I might be able to get the boat in the water tomorrow.
Any help is appreciated.
Of course 5 geese have to fly over as I am leaving the launch

Thanks

There should be a fuse close to the battery, and up by the starter...

Hopefully its something simple, thats why we use fuses.

There is a Buss fuse in it required for starting- behind the handle.

If you crossed the battery cables then watch your voltage regulator- they will fry.

well I checked it all out and fried the battery, replaced the cable and put it all back together.
I put a few miles on it in the river today and it all seems good again.
I still was able to get a couple geese by the old fashion paddling but it is no where close to the mud motor.
Thanks for all the help and tips, now back to shooting geese tomorrow!
