I've got a 27 Pro Drive that has continually leaked from behind the oil filter. After changing a few gaskets it didn't fix the problem. We've found it's the main gasket between the upper and lower portion of the motor. The gasket is bad but we're having a hard time finding a replacement and we're trying to have it up and running for early teal this weekend. Would a liquid gasket product work or should we wait it out until we can find the replacement?

I had the same problem with my 27 pd, after closer inspection I had lost 2 bolts that hold on the bottom pan, right by the oil filter. I bought a gasket and 2 bolts, when I took the motor apart to change the gasket found 2 hairline cracks in the block running vertical from the gasket face up to the top right behind the oil filter. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but sound like what you desribed. I do have the brand new gasket unopened if you want to buy it pm me with a phone number.
