My exhaust rusted out and I have been trying to get hold of them and when I did they said call stainless works for the warrenty, but when I did they said I had to go through EVT. I would be nice to know whats going on. |

Find a local weld shop and get some one to tig weld it for you, thats probably going to be your best route besides paying to have it shipped and waiting on it to come in! Just my opinion, where are you from anyways slick |

Post subject: | Re: EVT? |
EVT is not shut down completely meaning that we will still do some work. If someone brings over parts or an engine then we will work on it for them. I will not be buying parts in bulk anymore and stocking them on the shelf. As far as the warranties go EVT has taken care of everyhting that EVT put a warranty on ie, blown motors. Stainless Works was presented with an oppurtunity in October 2007 to build mufflers for mudmotors. I sent them a block, they designed a muffler sent it to me I ran it, liked it and they began to build them. THey put the lifetime warranty on them just like they do on all their other products they fabricate. I am a dealer for them not the manufacture. If the manufacture will not build or repair the product they built well then the dealers hands are kind of tied. I am still trying to get them to honor what mufflers are still out there but that has been difficult. I offered to help you out DICEMAN but you wanted them replaced rather than fixed. I am still going to do what I can to help others out but my hands are tied with SW not building replacements. I paid them for jigs and fixtures that were supposed to be mine but they refuse to send those to me as well. At least if I could have got them I could have been able to duplicate mufflers and help with the warranties. All I can do is apologize to everyone that has bought a muffler that is having problems with them and not getting them replaced or fixed do to SW deciding that they want to discontinue building items for mudmotors. If anything should change I will post up. Unfortunatly there was no stimulus money left over to pass to EVT or SW to keep us going like Chrysler and GM. |

MIke -- Not tryin to be a dick here but if your name is on the muffler and you were calling them EVT mufflers and having someone build them for you and you offer the Lifetime warrenty then YOU are responsible for the warranty NOT Stainless Works. I could see where if you sold them as Stainless Works mufflers with a lifetime warrenty then they would be responsible but you had these built for you. When GM or Chrysler (your example) has things built for them and they sell it and have problems with it but offered a warranty and put their name on it then GM or Chrysler covers that warranty. |

Just out of curiousity, what is wrong with the mufflers? Mine cracked where the tube goes in to the can. Had it welded up, put some heavier bolts in the brace to hold it up, no more problems... I've seen the bps, mm, and hopkins all crack too... Was there another problem? |

Post subject: | Re: EVT? |
Aint that the truth Mr. Brooks... I'm sure mine will crack again one day, and on that day I will have it welded back up. Not a big deal. I was just wondering what the problem with Diceman's mufflers that he thought the whole thing should be replaced and not repaired. |

Well, Thanks for clearing everything up Mike... If Obama would have a Mud Motor, then he would understand. He could plant Watermelon along levees, to insure proper preciptation to insure immedite growth. The mudmotor could help him as to getting close to bank to pick them. On A Serious Note... Mike.. I am sorry to hear that business threw you a curve ball. Just keep ya head up, and all will turn out good. Best Of Luck, Uncle J |

Point taken Brad. I see that GM and Ford offer Eddie Bauer and Harley D editions as well but I don't think HD or EB will cover warranty work on their vehicles. Hmm, somebody comes to me and tells me how to build a muffler and that I need to put a lifetime warranty on it and cover the warranty out of my pocket ![]() |
