Can u and what does it take to convert a 27 prodrive to a 36

yes you can change out the motor, the mounting holes are the same just have to make sure you get the right size shaft and lenght.

i did that to my pd you have to change the prop you will have to figure out the wiring b/c the kohler wiring plug is different for the briggs also if u use the same steering handle you will have to rig up the throtle linkage but all in alll it was worth it for the horsepower you get with the 36 and not having to spend the xtra money for a complete new 36pd good luck if you do it and have any ? just ask if i can help :)
