Get the cable warmed up, i.e., ice melted. Take a can of WD-40, stick the tip in one end of the cable, and push out all water, displacing it with the WD-40. Keep a dab of vaseline on each end of the cable where the metal cable enters or exits the black sheath. This will help to keep the water out in the future.

I had a similiar problem. But I found that the grip handle was sicking to the trottle handle. Fom the looks of the throttle lever on the MB, it's just about the same as mine on my Copperhead. The knurled grip was just a bit bigger than the lever. When I would pull the lever, it would rub on the knurles and not allow the spring to pull back. I trimmed the knurles by the lever and now the spring pulls back the lever.

Make sure your throttle on the card moves freely without pulling the lever. Also you may want to check the return spring to make sure it's not over stretched.

IDK where I read it but someone suggested a syringe with antifreeze down the throttle cable?

Go to a pharmacy and ask for a b12 syringe. Fill it with motor oil and inject it down the cable. No more freezing cables.

Kinked my cable Sunday morning and unseated stop pin in throttle lever. Had to ramp up and fix by reseating it then worked the cable back and forth till friction melted the ice. Not good way to start morning.

I had mine freeze last year. Anti freeze works wonders. DB8 has a great suggestion.. use it.

I live in Canada. Had the same problem with mine. I used compressed air and got all the water out. Then used a b12 syringe filled with automotive anti freeze. Fill the cable full. I also made a loop in the cable to prevent water from getting into it again. I like the vaseline tip giving above.

Good luck
