Post too cold! throttle cable frozen. any suggestions
alright i went out saturday and monday morning and it was really cold, at least for ga it was probably 15 to 20 degrees. throttle cable was frozen i assume. it hasnt been acting sticky or anything. so i assume moisture has gotten in it at some point. just wonderinf if anybody has a good de-icer or non freezing lube they use or could suggest. thanks
p.s. already tried pouring hot coffee on it that only freed it enough to get stuck in the wide open position. it also wasted all my coffee

Don't do like me and get pissed off at it, kink the cable and dislodge it from the throttle lever....so its bitchin' cold, windy, dark, I'm early but will be late, and everyone will be in my spot first, and ya'll know how that might aggravate me even more.

Anybody ever rigged a direct linkage like the pd on one of these other SD's?

Is it just part of man's genetic make up to get pissed off at inanimate objects; its as though the throttle cable did it to you on purpose. I find myself calling inanimate objects by name and cursing at them: "You freaking throttle cable. You don't kink on my watch. I'll show you who's the boss 'round here"!

And, you, freaking decoys, what are you laughing at? If one of you SOBs decides to get tamgled you get the same from me."

Just sayin...
