Post Throttle Handle
The inside of my throttle handle where the silver "T" on the cable fits in broke. Any ways to fix this?

I went ahead and gorilla glued the cable in there. Figured it will work until I have time to bring it in.

Mine did this too. The little T won't stay in place, it pops out when you release the throttle.

Post Re: Throttle Handle
my plastic handle also broke where the t connects. i wanted to buy just the handle, but was told i had to get the whole assembly (handle w/ cable connected). i got 1 for a go devil surface drive for $18 & was thinking of taking the handle apart to get just the part where the t on the front of the cable goes but the guy who sold it said he's tried it b/f but thought it was gonna break - so he replaced it all. i have a few questions on the replacement & note my boat lives 45 minutes away & i'll be doing the job at night / no hardware stores close/open.

1. the go devil throttle handle/cable assembly will fit fine on my gator tail?
2. all i need to do is remove the old one, install the new one & play w/ the cable adjust in the back of the engine to make sure the throttle has "about 1/8 turn slack before the engine RPM's raise"?
3. any special tools needed - i guess other than an allen wrench?
4. do i need to re-glue the rubber handle at the very end of the tiller? if so, what type of semi-permanent glue?

maybe i should have looked for a different/metal handle/assembly that won't break - but i guess that's why this one is just $18.

thanks for yo help, brah!

I got the plastic throttle squeeze handle off the assembly i bought in under 5 minutes. What bad advice from a local boat store that sells & services. Hopefully the advice came from someone that only sells parts.

Went stop at Terrbonne Marine yesterday and they had a spare handle. Popped the trigger off and gave it to me no charge. Gatortail needs to look at selling just the trigger part of the throttle separate. Seems if they crack, why buy the whole unit when all you need is one little piece.

Someone needs to make a metal one that wont break. Would benefit every MM owner besides the PD guys.
