Post subject:  My GTR23 Gained 200 RPMs Today!!!!
After all the adjusting, pushing stuff around, re-attaching choke linkage, installing new muffler, and installing new throttle lever and cable, I am all of as sudden hauling ass in my boat. I was steady at 3520 RPMs and touched 3600 RPMs this morning with a load, with prop at ideal, maximum performance and speed!!! Before 3250 3400. Not sure what happened. Outside the water RPMs maxed out at 4010 before and still does now. Maybe I wasn't getting enough travel in my throttle cable before?

It could be from changing your throttle out. My handle cracked and I made a "Presidential solution" to resolve the crack. In doing so, I lost some RPM's. Switched out my handle yesterday so I'm hoping to gain it back.
