Well, yes you can put a 35 on there but you are gonna have to modify the frame for the new motor. The bolt patterns will be different which is not that big of a problem, drill you some holes that'll work for the mount. The problem I see with putting that big of an engine on that frame is the shaft size. the 20hp honda has a 3/4" drive shaft and the 35hp has a 7/8". You can still bolt it up but I'd carry an extra drive shaft and a tool chest to change it in the field cause your gonna snap em. also you will need to reprop your motor. |

Load distribution plays a big part in speed with a longtail, I can move a tool box to the front or slide the crankin battery a little over and gain a mph or two. I have a 13 and without much load i can bump 15-16. |

thank yall for all of your help i have taken and used all of your advise and it has helped a lot after putting the new prop on i am being able to go 5 to 7 miles an hour faster which a tremendous difference than what i was going...i have shifted around benches to closer to the front of my boat and ended up being able to make a platform on the front of my boat and now my boat planes out much easier...too bad i have done all this work and have to really test it next duck season...guess ill have to find some good places to fish...i will post pics as soon as i can find a camera haha |
