 35gtr cdi
So for the past 4 months I have added a few mods to my new rig.. EVT-Carb.. It deff has helped the performance, and its been worth the money.. As we all know the crank case gasket is known to leak at some point and new mine has started.. I was not gonna to any internal work to my motor but now that the crank case has to be opened I was thinking about a Cam from Gator Tail.
So the question is, what pros and con come with a cam and could some one tell me the round about cost for this..

 Re: 35gtr cdi
I have a stage 1 on my non CDI motor from Hoyt and the mods woke the engine up alot. The load carrying is so much better with heads, cam, and timing added. My rig will turn 4200-4250 empty and about 4100-4150 loaded at wot. Speak to anyone with this setup and they will have to agree aswell. Set your neutral RPMs to 4350 and roll out.

 Re: 35gtr cdi
cam pros- a good bit more power.. you will be satisfied. CONS- once you put the cam you are gonna be itching to put heads on it. and that is def worth it too

 Re: 35gtr cdi
Your gonna want a set of heads with the cam. Your motor is gonna be trying to pull more air in and out, and the heads will be limiting the flow.

 Re: 35gtr cdi
If you don't want to do the cam, put your stock carb back on and have Briggs do the case gasket under warranty.
I have a performance cam, heads, rockers, and single carb on my CDI. Don't mess with the timing (the coils advance it electronically) and you will need to play with the carb to ensure you have it jetted right for all stages of the throttle. You have a 4300 rev limit built into the coils, so you will need to either increase your gear ratio and/or add a more agressive prop to take full advantage of all the increased power.
