 Found 2 oil leaks. What do they mean? 2010 Vanguard 35 CDI with Mikuni Carb and MM muffler.
Found this oil coming out of the Mikuni Carb.
Found this dark colored oil coming from the block. Leaky gasket?
Checked the oil level and it was between Add and Full.
Motor runs fine for the most part. Have noticed that anything past 3/4 throttle, and the motor tends to slow down.

Re: Found 2 oil leaks. What do they mean? IDK about the first one, but the second is the crankcase gasket. Mind is being changed now, and from what I am told they all do this in the same spot.

Re: Found 2 oil leaks. What do they mean? If the first is coming out fo the mikuni then it's not an oil leak. No oil is circulated through a carbertor. Iv seen them before with a dark rust colored gel coming out of them which is just varnished gas. Probably a bad seal on the carb.

Re: Found 2 oil leaks. What do they mean? BBB....if the oil is indeed coming from the carb. your reed valve may need to be adjusted...or try running some thicker oil.
The other pic of your crankcase gasket leaking is a continous problem with all big block Briggs engines...

I'm about to change to Amsoil, and if it keeps this up, I'll have someone with more experience check out my carb.

Re: Found 2 oil leaks. What do they mean? In the top photo you have a fuel pump block off plate. Are you sure the oil isn't from that area?
