 Where buy high peromance CAM for Vanguard23 I know I can get mods done by Gatortail and such, but I recall when I initially inquired that they would not sell their cam without installing it, which is ok and I may eventually do that. But, can anyone point to a place that sells high performance cams retail? I think I'd be happy with one just to increase my load carrying capacity at same speed I'm getting light. I know to get max benefit from this I'll have to amend carb, exhaust, spring tension, rev limiter, etc., but first things first...I want a new camshaft. I got friends to install it. Go cart high performance cams cost about $200.

Re: Where buy high peromance CAM for Vanguard23 You really want to go with someone that builds boat motors. A cam for a go kart is gonna be way different than what you want for your boat.
I thought Hoyt would sell you a cam, but I'm not sure. Give him a call. Also try EVT. Just got one for my dad's motor from them a week or so ago. Or Al, at performance v-twins.
You can try keith, at SETX also. I don't think bps has one out for the 23, but I think he has another cam guy that may have something for you.

Re: Where buy high peromance CAM for Vanguard23 I got a bit of advice about installing a high performance cam in my GTR23. He said it would blow it up unless I didn't rawhide it and avoid full throttle as much as I could stand it. Does anyone agree.?
