Hey everyone, Allen from Darrow, LA. Nice to meet yall. I need some help with my mm project. I'm looking for a short tail frame or complete setup with a blown motor. Prefer gator tail or mud buddy due to the type of motors I have. Also does any other company besides Bog Hog make frame kits?

Thanks, any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the site. Give BoatDr in Harahan,LA a call (504) 737-1203- He does a ton of service work and may have a line on a blown one or can get you a new MB frame kit (they sell them separately, not sure of the others).

It has been done, but you would need a vertical shaft motor. You stated you were looking for something that would hold a horizontal...

I do prefer the short tail setup. The two motors i have are a grizzly 660 an a harley 1000 sportster. If i went with the out board setup i would have to use a high speed 90 degree gear box ( which i really dont want to deal with). But the option of forward, neutral and reverse, trim, parts and its pretty easy to find a blown outboard for really cheap. I was just wondering if the design and prop selections for the outboard would do good in the mud.

I could just have some brackets coming off the mounting base and off the top of the motor, no real big deal. I would more than likely make a shield/grill for the radiator

the problem with the outboard set up is the bushing in the outboard propeller when u get in some nasty u will just spin the bushin and not the prop!!!

I've been kicking around the idea of building my own frame. I got some prices on new frames. Might give it a shot
