 electrical problem
I installed a mikuni carb on my 36 PD. When I thought I had it running right I put it in the water to run it and could not idle in gear. So I throttled up a little and engaged it. After running a little I never could get it to perform as good as my stock carb. When I turned around to ride home the motor died and I could not get power to anything. Then I found the blow fuse. The rev limiter was installed as per instruction and motor specific pics sent from chops. Believing that the rev limiter was the culprit of the short I clipped the wires and installed a new fuse which blew instantly. I have rewired everything that was spliced into with out the rev limiter installed and had no luck with the short. Any suggestions on any of my problems, troubleshooting the short or getting the carb right would be very much appreciated.
thanks in advance
