 Scavager/bog hogg Motors
I have been looking for a 14 hp longtail and none of the big boys make them. What does anyone know about Scavager or Bog Hogg? Or can you make a reccomendation on a lower HP that will work as well as a 14hp. It is for a 14ft boat.

They make a 13 and 16, why are you set on a 14? I would recommend staying with one of the major players.

 Re: Scavager/bog hogg Motors
I had a scavenger myself, it leaves a lot to be desired in the performance department, plus it's made completely backwards so you have to buy parts from them only, props and belts included. (Yup, v-belts on a longtail) Stick to Go-devil or Budbuddy on the longtails.
Are you set on a longtail for a particular reason? Copperhead makes small surface drives that are badass performers, will outrun a longtail of the same size.

Mudbuddy* Dam fat fingers. Sometimes it's like typing with a pack of hotdogs.

 Re: Scavager/bog hogg Motors
Need longtail! Lots of small beaver dams that I need to clear. I have a 14x38 jon. Do you think the 13hp Beavertail will push it with 2 guys and a dog. Also thinking about Pods?
