I did mine this weekend
Find a wire on the harness using your meter that is hot when the key is on.
I think i used one of the purple wires coming off the harness for the prodrive.

there is no adjustment that I know of
I dont think you will have any problems with it
Just make sure you use the filter it comes with or put it after your filter/water seperator
I left the primer bulb on mine just incase the elec. pump went out

I took my primer bulb out but I carry a spare pump just in case. Some of the guys on here recommend that you take the primer bulb out since you really won't use it and it can create more problems than it will solve.

I bought a facet
had the same thing on my airboat and ran it for several years without a problem
I would not worry about it

I'se jus messin... The pump will probably fix you up. Probably just a small air leak somewhere, but sometimes adding a pump is easier than tracking it down.

Post Re: on/ off electric fuel pump
A big X2 on getting a Facet. I learned about them on this site and after researching them a bit, they've proven themselves reliable. I put 47 hours on one this season and only had one issue with it when it lost it's prime. So I had to disconnect the fuel hose going into the engine and let the pump run a bit. I also think this happened because I didn't let the pump prime the fuel lines before starting the engine that day and I think this had something to do with it.

Post Re: on/ off electric fuel pump
You can hear when the pump gets primed on a Facet. When you start it, it'll rattle a bit then become silent once fuel pressure builds up. Usually takes about 3-5 seconds and you're good to go. The only time I didn't do this and decided to start the boat in the water and take off is also the only time it lost prime and I couldn't get the engine started again.

This might be speculation but, I'm willing to bet that throttle response is also better with an E fuel pump than the stock one. My thinking is that the fuel is always under pressure regardless of what RPM the engine is at. So when you hit the gas coming from a stand still, the pressurized fuel really helps get things going. Just my guess though.

when putting a E-pump do you need to reroute the fuel line to bypass the mechanical fuel pump or leave in on?

yea i e-pump both of mine, i use the facet 40177 1-2 psi. i also use the duel shut off kill switch that Sea Choice offers. its a normal open and normal closed switch. so with clip in, my terminal kill is open and i use the normal closed on the ground side of e-pump, that way if i pull the cord the engine dies and the fuel pump shuts off.

I have a MB 5500 that came with an e pump from factory and it has the cover on it where the fuel pump goes. If you're going to go the E pump route, I would bypass the stock fuel pump all together just to avoid any issues that might develop.

It'll take a while to fill up the filter, just make sure you run it with the hose going into the engine disconnected and it should fill up in a minute or so.

Also, if you bought a Facet, make sure it's mounted close to the tank preferably below it. I have mine mounted right on top of the tank and haven't had any issues with it pulling fuel out.
