 mods?
ok fellas , i have a 36 pd on a 17x52 weldcraft,high flow exaust,stock k&n,28.5mpr by my self,want a littlle more speed. what next?yall the pros.

Heads and carb will pick it up a lot. As long as u keep it under 4600 Rpms the other intervals should be fine. A working rev limiter seems to be very important on non-CDI engines.

Mikuni, Some head work & a CAM should really wake the motor up... As mentioned make sure you get a rev limiter and that its properly hooked up.

Heads and cam, you keep your stock governor... You won't be turning enough rpm's to worry bout push rods or connecting rods, whichever you were talking about.
