It'll push that lil boat real good. Good part about the BD motors is the built in rev limiters. It won't allow you to over rev the motor like an electronic rev box will occasionally. On the down side, you're limited to 4350 rpms, so you'll have to play with gears & props if you get greedy & want more out of it. The 4500 & 5500 are both good motors, & either will fly with a boat that size. Ya might want to hit up the MB forum for more response on it.

I have a 5500 on a 1750HD Gator Trax and the boat does 31-32 with me in it by myself in shallow water. So you'll probably go faster but you'll more than likely need a higher pitched prop. The engine itself is awesome and I wouldn't trade it for anything but I will tell you this, if I had to do it again, I would get the 4500 instead. This is because the 5500 is a little weak on the bottom end but has a good top end and sometimes I wish I had a much better bottom end than I do now.

I put 48 hours on mine this past season and so far, no problems at all and by getting a Black Death, you'll save about $1000 if you were to get a stock motor and get the same mods later on. Overall, they're a great deal on a modded motor with warranty.
