Buy this one and sell the intake and get one for your 23. 400 shipped to your door. I bet if you bought it then garrettpearce would buy the intake from you, cuz he posted that he is looking for one.

Dguidry, If ya buy the carb kit I would be interested in the Intake to for my Mud Buddy. I lnow I would have to so some slight modifications but its suppose to be a monster with the cam I have.

So this carb will fit on my horizontal Vanguard 23 engine as is, but the manifold it comes with, I will sell to garret or Fowl habit because the manifold is for a vertical engine. Therefore, I presume that the carb will fit either a vertical or horizontal Vanguard 23 without modifications? If this is correct, I am very interested in purchasing the carb and manifold. Garrett and fowl habit, pm me a price for the manifold...I have no idea what they cost.

What is referred to when a carb is described as "42mm", the diameter of the intake or what?

Straight from Mudbuddy/BPS: The carb for a Vanny 23 is a 34mm, but won't fit with a stock GTR23 muffler or stock briggs muffle like I now have. Micha at Mudbuddy said their crossover muffler for the 23 should be out at the end of April. Alternative, is to fashion your own custom muffler.

33mm tmx carb is what you need for that engine. The 33mm is the Mikuni with an excelerator pump not the 34mm.

Here's what you get from BPS on a Mikuni Kit. What's added to this $700 kit to make a stock Miikuni carb one can buy for about $300, fit on a Vanguar 23 Engine for a GTR23? Where would one get a TMX 33 carb and what mods are required to install on GTR23? BPS's carbs are all HSR's, whatever that means.

In the pic, right next to the tuning manual, that's the carb itself. Now to answer ya question as to what makes this kit cost "$700", everything else in the pic. :lol:
