I know this has been tossed around some on here after searching the forums for info. I never ran across some solid numbers. Does anyone know what compression = how much decking. Say you wanted to run no more than 9.5 :1...how much would you deck the heads? I may be wrong but on pump gas you should not go over 10:1 correct? |

I understand your point and agree. Just trying to figure out how much compression some of these .060 decked heads are running vs lets say .025 |

What if you took a 10:1 motor and made it pull in 1.5 cups? would 1.5 x 200= BOOM? |

im no mechanic but it sounds like if you leave your heads stock you would have more power, just put a cam exhaust and carb and be done with it...correct? |

Both will make more power. Do both together and make a lot more power. |

The point of my post was simply to see if anyone knew what kind of compression was being run from say .060 decked heads and say .025 decked heads since I have read those numbers allot on here. Make sure you have plenty of silicone , it holds up better than stock gaskets and hugs the contours of the grind if not done evenly. |
