Post ok NOW what do I do?
My engine has an aggravating off idle bog if you dont ease into it. So to the recommendation of GD and the briggs dealer, I attempted to adjust a/f miuxture. I was told to VERY CAREFULLY remove the two limiter caps that are on the adjusting screws, and what do you know, the screw broke off. Luckily the screw is in the same position it was in before so it will still run. How do I remove whats left of this screw? For something that should have been so simple, it made me look like a Democrat attorney.

They shouldn't be very tight. I used a needle-nose pliers when I broke one on my Kohler.

It's phucked! Motor is totaled, no fixing it. I'll give you 200 bucks for it as a parts motor.

I'm guessing there's no nub? A small "grabit" may work.

If you could find a small grabit, you may be able to get it out that way. It's like a reverse step drill bit. Should pop it right out. They sell them at pretty much any hardware store.

Screw extractor, whatever you wanna call it. I just went and looked. The lil cheap set I bought at harbor freight has one small enough that I think it might would work. Sure you can find one. You may be able to just use a small drill bit and spin it backwards, don't know if it will bite hard enough to pull it out though.

Paperclip and just a dab of jb weld? Or even just a quick set epoxy of some sort. Just a dab though so you don't get it anywhere except on the screw... I dunno

Its a brass piece, score it with and exacto and screw it out, may even be able to back it out with the exacto blade.

You can buy a brand new carb from MB for like $85. If you get the one you got out, I can get you another A/F adjuster.

To take care of the bog off idle, open up the air flow - K&N filter and open up the carb shield. If you need more, port your intake parts.

Cool, thanks Gary. I don't have a stock air cleaner. Mine is a kuryakyn hyper charger with a k and n filter.

Brads and I had one do the very same thing Rod. I tinkered with it for a while, then gave up and got another carb. ;)
