I got bored yesterday and drew this up, I wanted to have a shield for my carb but dont care for the 'mikuni power' ones that come with the kits. so this is what i came up with.

What ever came about with the carb spacer testing?

Man Craig I tell ya Im kinda dissapointed with BPS on that one. The rubber flanges that they sell with the carbs are ACTUALLY designed to adapt a Mikuni onto an S&S intake. S&S carbs and intakes all have the same bolt hole spacing (center distance of the 5/16ths bolts), but Bps decided to make theirs a little wider for some reason. By the time i slotted the holes in the spacer enough to line the holes up it looked lite sh*t. If BPS followed the same bolt pattern it would have worked perfectly. It seems they designed the intake off of the rubber boot itself, not the equipment the rubber boot is designed for.

How would it match up to the EVT intake?

Post subject:  Re: CNC Mikuni support/carb shield

it would prolly work better because the holes on the evt are a little larger, but not sure.

What about something like a square with a flag or the shape of a state etched into it, or even then top being the shape of a state? Or maybe get em personalized with some ensignia or name on it?

Looks good Rod! I think the TX crowd will like that. You probably need to get busy doing one for the coonasses before they get upset. I probably got a few friends that would take one for LA. I will PM you on the particulars.

Silly question... Will it be bent back over the carb like the BPS or stand straight up like it is now?

Can we see one installed on a motor. It looks sweet. I been wanting a support bracket. This would put it over the top in the cool category.
