I have a set of iron mountains on my 31 lt with approx. 50 hours on them. Has anyone had issues with them after so few hours. I did a leakdown test on mine and have some leakage out of exhaust and excessive leakage from intake! What's the problem? Possible anything I did? |

Valves are at .005 intake and exhaust. I did a leakdown test ( stated in original post) I put cylinder 1 Tdc and just to make certain took the rocker arms off my push rods. |

Yeah I figured I was going to need a valve job but 50 hours on pretty expensive heads and already failing!! Not real impressed |

We used to fix the briggs 3.5hp in ag class all the time. Take the head off put stem in a drill and put lapping compound on the valve head and spin it in the seat. Do that a few times and clean the compound off and you gotyourself a new valve seat. Im sure the same process can be done. Just dont scar the valve stem up. |
