Im looking at a 2006 27hp kohler gatortail SD short transom and it has around 200 hours on it. has power tilt and trim, neutral but no reverse. its in good condition.
Hes asking $2950... is that a good price and if so would it make a good motor for this boat http://www.backwoodslanding.com/16ft.html bottom left boat crawdad 1642 short transom.
Im new to mud motors and would be grateful for any advice that you could give.

Correction motor is a 2005

2005 has the old belt housing so if you ever wanted to upgrade to the reverse you'd have to change all that out, but if you are not wanting reverse then it is a good motor, thats not a whole lot of hours for a 2005.....i would offer 2100 or so but no more than 2300 cause of the lack of reverse and depending on condition
