 Kohler 27 idle problem
I have a 27 gdsd with 30 hours and last weekend after running for about an hour it started running rough and would cut off at idle. Any ideas on where to start? I am hoping it is just a carbeurator adjustment issue?

 Re: Kohler 27 idle problem
Not really any adjustments on that carb. It could have gotten clogged up with something though. You can pull the bowl off and clean the jets out.
Before doing that, make sure you are getting good spark on both cylinders.

 Re: Kohler 27 idle problem
Thanks, I should be able to check those things easy enough. I did also notice yesterday that there is a broken hose that blows air into the top of the carb. I don't think this is contributing to the idle issue, but something that should be fixed anyway. What does that part do? I feel like a topwater because I don't know this, but I'm an idiot when it comes to carb type issues.

I believe the hose you are talking about is just the breather. Coming out of the valve cover or maybe the case? And you're right, should not be the issue.
