 Help with rpms
Wondering what I should adjust to get my rpms up. 27 kohler gdsd. Oow is 3860. I hit 21 in my 1644 but rpms were only 3720 in the watr. Motor ran great and never had any kind of issue with it trying to pop out of the watr. I was sitting and just cruising around for the most part. Idle is 1220. Thanks
Here's a pic of my set up. Motor is an 07.

 Re: Help with rpms
The bolt at the 4:00 position on the throttle cam is the high speed governor adjustment. Screw it in all the way (till it bottoms out on the jam nut) and see what happens. If you still dont get enough rpms remove it, and put the jam nut on the other side of the bracket so that you can screw it in further.

 Re: Help with rpms
I believe you wanna tighten this bolt all the way up to raise the rpm's.

 Re: Help with rpms
i have quite a bit of slack in my throttle on the front end when giving it gas.......because i have to take up the slack until the high speed adjustment screw hits anything. could i pull my throttle cable some decreasing that distance?
