Re: surface drive on a jack plate?????
so since tha angle of the transom isnt gonna change, just set the jack plate where the hieght from the jack plate to bottom of boat is 20" or so?

Re: surface drive on a jack plate?????
yes, 50 horse ment to say set back. the water will rise as it leaves the bottom at the transom. too much set back and you will have to raise the motor more than 20 inches. you may have to play with it some, but if the set back is small than 20 should work.
